combining spiritual effort and material effort in a practical way

There has never been a business
like this before.

Bhajan-no Vepar
(The Business of Bhajans)

For my brothers, sisters and friends who do not understand
Hindi or Gujarati, I would like to explain this.
A "bhajan" is a hymn, a song we sing to pray or to praise God. "Vepar" means trade. So literally, "Bhajan-no Vepar" means doing the business of bhajans, for money.
Spiritually it means to involve oneself
and others in singing bhajans.

_______________________________

I got this name from a bhajan my mother used to sing when I was a small child. The bhajan is like this: There is a preface: "Vepar karo tou aevo ke aeno nafo ahiya na rahi jai, parlokma pan kaam aave." Then the bhajan: "Bhajan-no Vepar, Dhani tara naam-no aadhar, Kaar maan bhajan-no vepar ji."

English translation: Preface: "If you want to do business, do the business in which the profit is not left behind, it comes with you when you go." The bhajan: "O mind, get in the business of bhajans, Involve yourself, involve everyone in bhajans, God's name is the support for everything (in this life and beyond)."

We are combining spiritual effort and material effort in a practical way. It provides spiritual and material benefit to the individual and with the combined efforts of everyone, it provides benefit to the society. Our plan is working very well and it keeps getting better.

We are producing bhajan CDs and DVDs
from live bhajan programs and cultural programs,
also from mantra jaap, bhajans and Hanuman Chalisa
people sing and record at home,
also from mantra jaap, bhajans and Hanuman Chalisa
children sing in schools in India.

This provides income to
singers and musicians.

It provides income to students and teachers
and donations to their schools.

It provides income to
audio and video professionals
and to many other people.

AND

It raises funds for charity work.

No one has ever done this before.
Now everyone is doing it.

We buy well recorded bhajans, dhoon, mantra and Hanuman Chalisa, in audio and video, in any language, from bhajan mandals, cultural organizations and schools that record their programs live. We also buy from individuals and groups who practice and record in their own homes. We also buy from talented new singers and musicians. We also buy from professional singers and producers.

We produce and distribute our bhajan CDs and DVDs under the brand name "Bhajan-no Vepar".

Procedure for purchase is explained
in "Hanuman Chalisa" page.

We are doing this to raise funds for charity work of Mata Annapurna Ashram. If we were to give for charity work the money we are spending to produce bhajan CDs and DVDs, it would be only so much money. This way it brings in many times more and it involves people in charity work.

Worldwide Distribution

We are doing it both ways.
We are giving them free and also selling them.
This may seem not workable but it works.
It works very good and it keeps getting better.

FREE DISTRIBUTION

Anyone can get any "Bhajan-no Vepar" audio CD or DVD from a distributor or a friend, make copies and share with everyone. We gladly permit everyone to make copies and share with everyone. We are doing this whole heartedly, without any strings.
See "Worldwide Distribution - Free of Cost". click here
Also see this page on MAA website. click here

If you want to sell copies

retail stores, home-based sellers, students

We will permit everyone who wants to earn a personal income to make copies and sell them. This is the Aatmajyot way. We are combining spiritual effort and material effort in a practical way. The effort provides benefit to every person individually and with the combined efforts of everyone, it provides benefit to the society. For more info, please see this page. click here

I, Ramesh Haridas Sampat, am the producer, distributor, owner and copyright holder of all MP3s, audio CDs and DVDs produced under the brand name "Bhajan-no Vepar".

I have launched this program in January 2007. It is a global program designed to involve a large number of people and help millions of poor children in India. If you are a bhajan singer, musician, a bhajan mandal, Mandir, cultural organization, non-profit org, a school or an individual or family who cares about the children who are hungry and helpless and growing up without any education, this program is for you. You can play as big a part as you choose, or as small. I have explained the whole program in my audio CD "Bhajan-no Vepar" recorded on 15 August, 2007. We have made some changes since this CD was recorded. We will continue to make changes as needed from time to time. You can download the CD and its text, free of cost, from these links:
